Will the heater fit in my Kitchen cabinet?
The Hotspot Titanium heater itself does not take up much space. Thereby, it rarely happens that space is a problem when or after installing our boiling water tap.
Most kitchen cabinets have a standard size (standard variant) of 600mm (60cm), while our boiling water taps come in the following widths: 300mm, 400mm, 500mm, 800mm and 1000mm.
Our titanium boilers have the following dimensions:
● Hotspot Titanium 4-litre heater(WxHxD): 8.26x12.80x11.22 inches - 210 X 325 X 385 mm
● Hotspot Titanium 8-litre heater (WxHxD): 8.26x20.67x11.22 inches -210 X 525 X 385 mm
The standby heat loss, or energy that the Hotspot Titanium uses even when no water is drawn, is approximately 25 Watt for an 8-litre water heater and approximately 16 Watt for a 4-litre water heater. If you think about a typical in-home wireless router, the HotSpot Titanium is equivalent when it comes to energy usage.
It costs an estimate of 9 pence a day for an 8-litre and 6 pence a day for a 4-litre heater (assumed 15 pence / kWh) Remember, this depends on the energy supplier and rates, among other factors.
The below table shows the difference between a conventional kettle and Hotspot Titanium 4 and 8-litre. We have considered the amount of energy it would take to make six 250ml mugs of tea or coffee on six separate occasions with a kettle (partial kettle-fill of 500ml). The cost equated to £0.063p per 24 hours – this based on 3kW Kettle x 84 seconds to boil = 0.07 kWh. With an assumed cost of 15p/kWh x 0.07 kWh = £0.011p.

Firstly, instant boiling water at the push of springed-lever! And course, safety and reduced energy use. Hotspot Titanium is the safest boiling water tap; equipped with a unique safety system: Spring-back-safety®. With an easy-to-use lever, you select the safety level. In addition, the Hotspot Titanium has a smooth flow, meaning that it produces minimal steam and no spluttering when in use. An electric kettle, on the other hand, is much more unsafe because it always stands on the benchtop, full of (hot) water with a trailing lead. Energy use is also better than the electric kettle. When making water for tea with an electric kettle, you always have to boil more water than needed. Making one cup of tea with a boiling water tap is therefore much more efficient and sustainable.
Save time, money and energy. Instantly filtered boiling water at the push of a button; gone are the days of waiting for the kettle to boil!
The type of water heater depends on your family situation and its use of warm water. Our titanium heaters are available in two sizes: 4-litre and 8-litre versions. The 4-litre is suitable for a family home but larger households may prefer the 8-litre version with built-in combi facility for twice as much boiling water capacity. As well as delivering filtered boiling water to your kitchen tap, the 8-litre combi heater can also deliver instant pressurised hot water to your kitchen mixer tap (easily adjustable between 35 ̊C - 70 ̊C). Compact in size, the heater fits comfortably into your under- sink cupboard. Both models can be installed in combination with our 3-in-1 mixer tap or Solo boiling water tap. If you have only a cold water connection, then we advise you to use the 8-litre water heater.
The table below shows the technical specification for both the 4-litre heater or 8-litre heater. A Hotspot Titanium water filter cartridge costs £89 (incl. VAT and transport). Our filters trap sediments and debris so they may become clogged with these substances after months of use. If they become too clogged, it becomes difficult for water to pass through. Being diligent about replacing your filters will keep your Hotspot Titanium operating at optimal performance, thus avoiding drinking unwanted chemicals, particles and bacteria, which can cause or lead to serious health problems.
We recommend changing them at least every 12 months, depending on water quality in your area. However, you can check your filter status easily via our Flow meter accessory that keeps constant accurate track of your water filter status, capacity and when it should be replaced. Please note, cartridge performance is dependent upon usage and water hardness in your area.

Yes. When the water heater is switched off, it will keep using a minimum amount of electricity (less than 1 W).
To prevent water spots forming on your tap, we advise drying it with a soft dry cloth after each use. Please avoid cleaning the tap with aggressive cleaning agents because the coating of Hotspot Titanium taps is not resistant to cleaning agents such as vinegar or an all-purpose cleaner. The citric acid in such agents removes the tap’s coating, revealing the pink brass underneath.

Yes, it is. The tap provides boiling water, with minimal steam and no splutter, when in use. We have opted to use a calm water jet, therefore it doesn’t splash and super safe!
Water in the reservoir of the water heater is continuously above 100 °C. Because of the high pressure in the reservoir, the temperature can reach above 100 °C without the water boiling or evaporating.
